Updates from SeaWorld Orlando

We haven't been to SeaWorld in over a year, and we decided to check back on Katina's dorsal fin after it was damaged last year. Her fin has completely healed, although it will be permanently disfigured.

It was shocking to see Trua's dorsal fin today. In the past year, it has completely collapsed! He's only 13 years old.

In the documentary Long Gone Wild, a new set was shown an for the orca stadium in San Diego, but Orlando is still performing the One Ocean show.

We also stopped by to see the pilot whales.

SeaWorld have added some additional signage about their rescue, but we aren't convinced these pilot whales needed to be rescued. We wrote about their story over 5 years ago. Sad situation.

In general, there have not been many changes in the past year other than the death of Kayla earlier this year.

Don't forget to check out the new film, Long Gone Wild, if you haven't already, and stay tuned for updates from Whale Sanctuary Project later this month for a sanctuary location.
